“…I love the squash, zucchini, eggplant — that’s something I had never really eaten before you all introduced it. (The children) get a chance to look in the box — it gives them a chance to open up their eyes…by eating it and tasting it, they see it’s good.”
~ Sherry Farrington
When we’re not moving our animals on pasture, we’re working with Anathoth Community Garden & Farm’s mission to “heal divisions by gardening together”. Anathoth is a non-profit also located in Cedar Grove that began in response to a local murder. You can support their mission by participating in HarvestShare.
HarvestShare is a sliding-scale, Community Supported Agriculture program offering fresh vegetables and fruits each week from April – December. Because Anathoth is committed to accessibility and peace-making, half of the households who are a part of HarvestShare receive their share of weekly produce as a donation.
HarvestShare members are also invited to enjoy our workdays, potluck meals, workshops, cooking demonstrations, special events, and worship services at the garden and farm.
We think Anathoth’s vegetables are the perfect complement to our pasture-based meats.
